What Is Hemp Fabric?
Hemp fabric is woven or knitted from fibers harvested from the Cannabis sativa plant — one of the strongest, most sustainable natural fibers on Earth. Unlike cotton, hemp requires 50% less water, zero pesticides, and grows to maturity in 90–120 days while simultaneously improving soil health through its deep root system.
Our hemp range covers hemp-cotton blends (55/45), hemp-polyester blends (65/35), 100% hemp canvas, hemp French terry, and hemp twill. Weights span 140–300 GSM. Every batch is tested for antibacterial efficacy (AATCC 147), tensile strength (ASTM D5035), UV protection (AS/NZS 4399), pilling resistance (ISO 12945-2 Grade 3+), and colorfastness (Grade 4+, AATCC 61).

Screen Printing
The #1 method for hemp-cotton blends — the slightly textured surface takes plastisol ink beautifully and the natural texture shows through subtly, adding an artisanal, premium character. Water-based inks work but may absorb unevenly into the natural fibers — we recommend plastisol for maximum opacity and consistency on hemp blends.

DTG Printing
Excellent on hemp-cotton blends — DTG water-based inks bond with the natural fibers, producing a soft-hand print that complements the organic aesthetic. The texture of hemp fabric actually enhances the DTG look with a subtle heathered quality that synthetic fabrics can't replicate. Best for small batches and detailed, multi-color designs.

Sublimation (Hemp-Poly Only)
Works on hemp-polyester 65/35 blends — the polyester content accepts dye-sub ink for all-over print. The hemp fibers create a subtle natural texture in the print that differentiates it from standard polyester. Not possible on hemp-cotton blends. This is the route for sublimated streetwear and team kits with a hemp sustainability angle.
